Coaching for freelancers and small business owners

Whether you are about to go solo, or already running a business that has grown faster than your systems, we work on the decisions you keep postponing: pricing, structure, delegation, and what to do next.

Either book a free 20-minute consultation or send me a message on whatsapp or through the contact form. Nothing is sold to you on that call — if coaching is not what you need, I will say so.

About Me

I'm Robin. I founded two companies from scratch and now run a consulting practice and a software product side by side, which means I have made most of these decisions with my own money on the line.

I am not a coach who read about running a business. I have priced myself too low, taken the wrong client, postponed the admin until it hurt, and rebuilt from there. That is the experience I bring to the conversation.

I didn't just learn the theory—I lived it:

  • Founded two companies from scratch, including the paperwork nobody warns you about
  • Run a consulting practice and a product business at the same time, on one set of accounts
  • Worked across French and German business environments, in three languages
  • Made the expensive mistakes early — pricing, scope, cash flow — and can help you skip them

Why I Started This Service

Most founders I meet do not lack ideas or effort. What they lack is someone independent to think out loud with: someone with no stake in the outcome, who has run a business, and who will ask the uncomfortable question instead of cheering.

A consultant hands you an answer. Coaching is different: you leave with your own decision, made deliberately, and a next step small enough that you will actually take it.

What You Get From a Session

✓ Founder to Founder: I have run the businesses I coach on, so we can skip the theory

✓ Multilingual: Sessions in English, French or German, and in Italian on request

✓ No Stake in Your Decision: I don't sell you the tools, the funding or the software we end up discussing

✓ A Concrete Next Step: Every session ends with something specific you will do before the next one

✓ Personalized Approach: No frameworks for their own sake—we work on your actual situation

✓ Confidential: What you say stays between us, including the parts you would not put in a pitch

For Freelancers & Solo Founders

Getting Started

  • Deciding whether to go solo at all, honestly
  • Choosing a legal structure and understanding what it commits you to
  • Setting a price you can defend, and actually charging it
  • Finding your first clients without waiting until you feel ready
  • Building a week that includes selling, not only delivering
  • Separating business and personal money, and reading your own numbers
  • Knowing which admin is urgent and which can wait

Once You Are Running

  • Saying no, raising your rates, and ending a client relationship without drama
  • Getting out of the feast-and-famine cycle
  • Deciding what to delegate first, and to whom
  • Protecting time for the work that actually grows the business
  • Handling a bad month without panicking
  • Deciding whether to hire, subcontract, or stay solo
  • Dealing with isolation — the part nobody puts on a website
  • Planning a break, a sabbatical or a slow season on purpose

Direction

  • Working out what you are actually building, and for how long
  • Choosing between two options when both are defensible
  • Preparing for a conversation you have been dreading
  • Deciding when to stop something that is not working
  • Rebuilding after a lost client or a launch that went nowhere
  • Working out what “enough” looks like for you

For Small Business Owners & Teams

Leading a Small Team

  • Becoming a manager when you were the best doer
  • Delegating in a way that stays delegated
  • Hiring your first employee, and what changes the day you do
  • Running a one-to-one that people find useful
  • Handling a difficult working relationship before it runs for a year
  • Setting expectations that survive a busy period
  • Deciding what only you can do
  • Handing work over before you burn out, not after

Working On the Business

  • Turning what you do into something repeatable
  • Pricing and packaging your offer so it sells without you in the room
  • Writing down how the business runs, so it stops living in your head
  • Choosing which growth to chase and which to decline
  • Preparing for a busy season, or surviving a quiet one
  • Introductions to trusted specialists (accountants, lawyers, IT) when it is not a coaching question

Ongoing Support

  • Regular sessions to keep decisions moving
  • A check-in before and after something that matters
  • Someone to think with when it is lonely at the top

FAQ

What is the difference between coaching and consulting?

A consultant hands you an answer; a coach helps you reach your own, which is why it sticks. If what you need is somebody to simply do the work, I will tell you and point you to the right person. Sessions in English, French or German, and in Italian on request.

Do you need support beyond the services listed?

Feel free to send me a message or book a free call to describe your situation. I also provide IT consulting for freelancers and small businesses at it.robin4consulting.com, and advice on moving to and operating in Germany at germany.robin4consulting.com.

The decision you keep postponing is usually the one worth an hour of somebody else's attention.

Let’s talk it through — one honest conversation, no obligation.
